Dharamshala is located in Kangra valley also known as Mini Tibet and winter capital of Himachal Pradesh. Above all, I consider Khajjiar among the best places to visit in Himanchal Pradesh. Khajjiar is a hill station about 25 kms from Dalhousie located in chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. It is also known as Mini Switzerland because of it’s appearance similar to Switzerland. Mr Willy T. Blazer, head of chancery of Switzerland named this place “Mini Switzerland” in 1992 and put a sign board which shows distance of khajjiar from capital city of Switzerland – Bern (approx 6200 kms). Kalatop peak is the perfect place in khajjiar to get the clear view of Pir Panjal Mountain. Kalatop sanctuary, where you can find species like Black Bear and Serow covered with dense deodar and oak tree is situated beside Ravi River.
