The Fort is a popular travel destination for adventurous people, also rated as one of the most mysterious places in India. Numerous stories came across during these following years and one such story is – there once lived a Saint in that area who sanctioned the construction of the fort asked by the king Madho Singh but said that- “Shadow of the fort must never fall upon the house of the Saint otherwise the fort will fall down”. But, one fellow workman raised the height of the palace to such height that it overshadowed the house of Saint and the fort collapsed. The fort remains open for visitors during the daytime, but no one is allowed to enter the fort after sunset. You will even get a warning sign outside the fort saying- “No trespassing after sunset“.

Kuldhara Village also known as ‘village of ghosts’ is located in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. In the 19th century, the village was abandoned by Paliwal Brahmins because of some unknown reason. Before leaving they cursed the place that no one will be able to settle there after them. The village reputation is not good because of paranormal activities taking place during the night. According to the famous story, wife of Lord Metcalfe is haunting this place ever since her demise and this library proved these stories true when a mysterious room was discovered in this 250-year-old building. The Unknown presence of a person, chairs being drawn away, books dropping down from their shelves and pages of the books being rifled – kind of incidents was encountered in this place. This house has been locked down from several years back and “No Trespassing in this property” – signboard is suspended outside this place. According to the folklore stories, a presence of a lady in red dress on the roof of the house was being encountered, while some have seen four men sitting around the table drinking alcohol. Many neighboring people avoid passing through this property as no one wants to land themselves in trouble.

6. D’Souza Chawl, Mumbai

A famous story is recited by the local people of this area stating – a woman fell into the well and died crying for help. Ever since then, the ghost of that woman is sneaking around the well and the Chawl area.

7. Three Kings Church, Goa.

Three Kings Church has located 15 km away from Goa in Cansaulim village. The story behind this haunted place is a fascinating story of all and according to that story – there once lived three Portuguese Kings who always fought against each other over the matter of ruling that place. One day, a king named as Holgar invited the other two kings in this church for a royal lunch ceremony, but he killed both by offering them poisonous food. When the village people came to know about this incident, they went to the king’s palace to witness his crime. Terrified of his own sin, the king committed suicide by poisoning himself. Later, all the three kings were buried in this church.

8. Sanjay Van, Delhi.

Sanjay Van is a very plush forest area located in the capital city of India. Who would believe that a very soothing and scenic forest area can be considered as a haunted place. This forest area is a burial ground of Prithviraj Chauhan and many children as well. A story of a Saint walking around this place after 700 years of his death was spread all over this place.

It is a historical building enduring a peculiar kind of beautiful architectural design and it is also under the protection of ASI. No such supernatural activities are being encountered in this place but some people felt a mysterious presence. Some of them felt “being stalked” by someone. You can opt out for this place as it is more of a public place, though.

This house has been locked down for many years and the neighbors also dare not to pass this house. An old couple was brutally murdered by their yoga teacher and ghost of this couple is haunting this place ever since then. It is believed that the ghost of this couple doesn’t allow others to enter the house premises. Whosoever visited this place, felt the presence of something unknown.
